LiteVPN: How It Works
LiteVPN uses two common types of VPN (virtual private network ),
PPTP and SSL. LiteVPN users connect to private servers via a VPN using a
broadband (cable, DSL) or ISP dialup connection. VPNs provide secure, private, encrypted
connections between the internet and remote users through a third-party service
provider such as LiteVPN. A VPN provides you with a private and secure
connection to a network such as the internet. You use a VPN client to create a
secure tunnel to its VPN Servers. Once connected, all of your traffic is
encrypted. It no longer matters where you are using the internet from, no one
will be able to spy on where you are going or what you are doing. All they will
see is an encrypted data which is unreadable. Our VPN Service will also conceal
your real IP and replace it with one of ours. In doing so, your online activity
is totally anonymous and prevents anyone from tracking your true location. You
no longer need to use a proxy sites, LiteVPN is your complete solution for
secure, unrestricted internet!

The following sequence details the communication
stream between a user and LiteVPN® during a typical session:
- 1. The client connects to the LiteVPN using the
Windows/Mac PPTP client or SSL VPN via their webrowser.
- 2. Once connected, a secure encrypted tunnel is
established between the clients computers and LiteVPN.
- 3. The client opens a internet application, such as a web
browser. From this point, any exchange of information between a
client browser and the internet is performed over the encrypted
tunnel the LiteVPN.
- 4. The traffic from the user is sent out of one of
LiteVPN's datacenters located around the world. This process also
neutralizes dangerous web elements while protecting your Internet
identity. After an extensive filtering process, the requested
content is forwarded back to a user over the encrypted tunnel.

SSL VPNs
SSL VPN is included in the LiteVPN premium package. SSL VPN provides users with
secure VPN connections to the internet using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
protocol. Internet access based on SSL VPN delivers secure access to internet
resources by establishing an encrypted tunnel across the Internet using a
broadband (cable, DSL) or ISP dialup connection. The ubiquity of the Internet,
combined with today's VPN technologies, let you cost-effectively and securely
access internet resources. The LiteVPN client provides customers running Microsoft Vista, Windows
XP or Windows 2000, Linux, or Macintosh OS X, with the benefits of an ultra fast SSL VPN client, and supports applications and functions unavailable to other VPN
service providers. SSL VPN uses the latest encryption technology using 256bit
encryption, the highest avalible! The client can be automatically downloaded to
LiteVPN users when they log in, or it can be manually installed as an
application on your PC. TIf you are using a public terminal the web client can
automatically uninstall itself after the connection terminates, or it can remain
on the PC for future SSL VPN connections.
PPTP VPNS
PPTP VPN is included in the LiteVPN basic and premium packages. PPTP is popular
because it is easy to configure and widely supported by Microsoft and Maintosh.
You will not need any additional software to create a PPTP VPN connection, all
of the software you need is already included with your computer! Many LiteVPN
users are quite happy with PPTP because it is a lighter weight protocol that is
very simple to set up and use. PPTP VPN provides users with secure VPN
connections to the internet using the GRE tunneling and 128bit encryption.
